Drapery

First attempt at a charcoal drapery drawing. It's pretty difficult to make it look right. Going to have to try this again.

  1. Great job for a first try! I can tell you're squinting. Good shadow shapes. :-) Even your edge treatment is good. Sharp edges are sharp, soft edges are soft. Next thing to work on is differences in tonal value. Dark values will push back into space and become less contrasty(think atmospheric perspective), light/high contrast pushes forward.
